finance department

The purpose of the Finance Department is to receive, and record all funds of our church for the Church Accountant to deposit it the church bank account. The department is also responsible for the disbursement of funds as authorized to support the mission and ministry of the church.

The department is headed by the church accountant, operates directly under the church administrator, and is supported by church staff and volunteers from the church.

other assigned roles and duties

Make revenue projections to assist in the drawing of the annual budget of the church.
Draw and review the annual budget of the church.
Receive offerings, pledges, and tithes collected during services and count them at the conclusion of each service.
Management of the church’s cashflow and ensuring there are enough funds available to meet the church’s day-to-day demands.
Responsible for advising and sourcing long term financing of the church.
Contribution to the management and improvement of the church’s operations by measuring and reporting regularly on key numbers crucial to the success of the church management.
Providing information to assist church managers in making key strategic decisions.
